In which Miss Felicity remarks on her own shallowness

Miss Felicity has been thinking and has decided, in view of her now terminated relations with Miss Wood, that she has been focusing on the wrong things. If Miss Felicity is indeed "too good" for Miss Wood (a dangerous remark in any case) it is not by virtue of beauty, popularity, grades or any other such measures. If such a thing is true, it rests on the single fact that Miss Felicity always does her utmost to care for the people she loves, though she is not always very good at it, and Miss Wood has not always extended the same care to her.
Miss Felicity further wishes to say that she has been trying too hard. In an attempt to appear happy and successful to Miss Wood and herself she has become preoccupied with her own image. Miss Felicity would like to appear to be happy and have everything she wants. She recently realized that she is in fact happy and has everything she wants. Therefore it is about time the theatrical display was terminated. Miss Felicity apologizes to Miss Merry for having been so concerned with her own popularity and will try to be a better Buddhist. She would like to conveniently blame her lack of social experience on being homeschooled through the twelfth grade.
Miss Felicity is overjoyed at the prospect of reunion with Miss Merry. She wishes her safe travels and a Happy New Year. She also needs to plan a business meeting for the purpose of discussing an Unbirthday Party.
